We had a great turnout to our Spring 2023 art show. This year's theme was "creativity...the more you use, the more you have." With thousands of pieces of art on display from Willow Springs Elementary School artists, make and take crafts, photo opts, and yummy treats courtesy of three different food trucks; there were a variety of events for everyone to enjoy.
The 2023 Willow Springs Art Show also served as the unveiling of a huge mosaic from this year's fifth graders which will be on display in the front entry way of the school for years to come. Students sculpted and glazed ceramic tiles that they then placed in the grade-wide mosaic. As great as this year's art show was, we are already making plans to top it next year!

After two years of COVID spoiled our Willow Spring Art Show in 2020 and 2021, everyone seemed excited to participate in our 2022 art show. Well over 1,000 students, parents, siblings, grandparents, and members of the community showed up on the evening of May 10, 2022 to celebrate the work of our 700 plus Willow Springs artists. The theme of this year's art show was "Every child is an artist" and the incredible work on display certainly highlighted that fact.
Participants at the art show were able to play games, create a make-and-take project, and enjoy some yummy food at three separate food trucks. Look for our next art show during the 2022-23 school year! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to meet and enjoy the remarkable artwork our Willow Springs artists created during the 2019-2020 school year. Instead please enjoy the virtual art show below. The Spring 2019 Art Show at Willow Springs Elementary School was our biggest yet! Our incredible artist created work that was out of this world--which was appropriate since the theme of the show was "Out of This World." This year, patrons were able to watch an award-winning stop motion video produced by our 5th graders. Patrons were also able to check out iPads and hear from the artists themselves describe their work.
As with previous years, the art show also included games, make-and-take projects, and food trucks. Check out some of the projects below, and be sure to attend our next art show Spring 2020. Our Willow Springs Spring 2018 Art Show was incredible! With hundreds of piece of art on display, an art project to create at the show, and food trucks outside; it had something for everyone. The theme for the show was "Under the Sea." Check out the work of our artists below.
As mentioned before, our amazing Willow Springs artists are busy preparing murals to display throughout the school during the upcoming Parent/Teacher Conference. I just had to share two more of these incredible murals before the conference. Your children are outstanding artists! Toward the end of the 2016-17 school year, our incredible Willow Springs Kindergartners prepared a mural for the Bangerter Crossing Harmons Grocery Store. Their mural has remained displayed at Harmons throughout the summer. If you hurry you can catch it now before it's taken down for another amazing Willow Spring's mural!
To build upon our PTA 2017-2018 school theme of "Wildcats Stick Together", our incredible art students at Willow Springs are busy creating little pieces of art that will then be "stuck together" to create large murals that will be on display during the upcoming September Parent/Teacher Conference on September 27-28. Below are just a few of the murals you'll see as you work your way through the halls of Willow Springs. On April 25, 2017 Willow Spring students, parents, and teachers participated in our second annual Spring Art Show. The 2017 art show was amazing! With over 1,000 piece of art on display, games, and the chance to create a piece of art to take home; there was something for everyone.
As great as the 2017 art show was, the 2018 art show promises to be even better. Plan on it early May, 2018. Our second grade students recently saw their art featured at the Bangerter Crossing Harmons Grocery Store. Using pastels and water colors, our artists created a warm and cool color winter tree scene. If you haven't already made it to Harmons to see their work, try to make it while it's still on display.
